Mayan Clothing the Weaving Through the Ages, translated from the Spanish version published in 1992 by the Museo Ixchel del Traje Indígena, is the eight volumen in the monograph series. It provides a historical view of both change and continuity in the traditional textiles and clothing of the Mayas, from the pre-Hispanic period to the present. This volumen includes 16 essays representing the most recent findings of renowned researchers in the field of Mayan culture. It is, in fact, the result of a multidisciplinary effort, since each specialist focused on the subject from his or her own profesional perspective: archaeology, ethnohistory, anthropology, communication sciences and the textile arts.
